As we grow older, our needs also change. If a senior in your family started using a walker or wheelchair, then the bathroom needs to be updated to accommodate their needs. This may include some accessibility features. Common modifications include adding handrails and changing out the bathtub for a walk-in shower. Generally, you want to ensure that there’s plenty of space to move around, so you might need to expand your bathroom as well.
YOU PLAN ON SELLING THE HOUSE
While it holds true that the kitchen is the most important area to renovate when you sell your house, the bathroom is a close second. An updated modern bathroom renovation can increase the market value of your home. An atrociously awful toilet and bath, on the other hand, can be an absolute deal-breaker.
