Have you ever been in a space so bright and welcoming? You are greeted by the soft sunlight highlighting beautiful custom paneled walls that wrap around the entire room. One of the important considerations in designing the space is the alignment of all the panels. The proportions relative to the room must be fitting. They must be one with the doors, the columns, the windows, flowing naturally as if they were all the same element.
The coffered ceiling is in the same shade of white to extend the view upward and give a feeling of grandeur. A single chandelier in the center beautifully frames the ceiling. White balusters topped with Oak handrails line the second-floor hallway. It’s a great vantage point for the Great Room as well as the outdoor area beyond. White oak floors that seem to go for miles stretch the space further.
On one end of the room is a double-height wall, accented by a strip of White oak that runs down the middle. At the bottom of that strip is a beautiful see-through linear fireplace enveloped in Carrara marble. On one corner sits the bar area, like a pocket of surprise, where guests can enjoy a drink or two while engaging in happy chitchat. White panels continue to wrap the bar and extend to the custom cabinetry. Opposite these pockets are a row of large sliding doors and wide French windows that fill an entire wall.
Giving you an unobstructed view of the vast garden beyond. It invokes a feeling of invitation to step outside and frolic with nature. This sprawling 10,000 sq. ft. estate is a showcase of luxurious Southampton living. It’s a home designed with a high level of aesthetic and great attention to detail. From the selection of finishes to the type of moldings, everything was custom-made with the clients’ vision in mind. Truly a creation of masterful construction.
