How do you handle repairs after installation?
Workmanship issues are addressed promptly at no cost. Site-related damage or damage from other trades is billable at our standard rates.
Maintaining & Caring for Wood
Does seasonal movement affect cabinetry?
Yes. Natural wood movement is normal. Our construction methods mitigate its impact, but inadequate climate control can cause more pronounced movement.
How should I maintain my wood finishes?
Maintain a stable relative humidity in your home, avoid excess moisture as well as dry heat. Only use soft, non-abrasive cleaners. Regular dusting and gentle wiping will preserve your cabinet or furniture’s look for a long time. We provide care guidelines specific to your finishes at project completion.
Does care differ between painted finishes and natural stain finishes?
Basic maintenance is the same for both. Regular dusting and gentle wiping, along with maintaining stable humidity and temperature in your home, are all that’s needed to keep your finishes looking their best.
How does sunlight affect wood finishes?
Over time, direct sunlight can naturally lighten or bleach painted and stained finishes. For cabinets or furniture in sunny rooms, consider window treatments or UV films to help protect your wood and preserve its color.
